If the message passed through SpamExperts but was incorrectly delivered to your inbox, report the message as Spam. This can also be used to mark emails as legitimate.
Training messages provide feedback to the filtering system and help SpamExperts improve its classification of similar messages.
Once you are viewing the Control Panel, proceed to train the message as Spam or Legitimate:
- Select Incoming Train messages
- In the Train messages page, drag and drop or browse for and upload messages you want the system to treat differently. Messages can be in .msg, .eml, or .txt format only
- Select whether the message(s) should be recognized as legitimate (false positive) or spam (false negative)
- Click Continue
- You will be asked to confirm you wish to train a message, click Report as spam/Report as legitimate
- Close the confirmation box once you see the file(s) have been successfully uploaded
IMPORTANT: Only report messages as spam when they are genuinely unwanted or malicious. Legitimate newsletters or other messages you previously subscribed to should generally be unsubscribed from instead.
Still Receiving Spam?
If you continue to receive spam after checking the settings above, please email support at vcgsupport@vcgcorporate.com.
When contacting support, please provide examples of the spam messages whenever possible. For each example, include:
- Sender's email address
- Recipient's email address
When possible, please provide multiple examples. This allows us to review the messages and mail logs to determine why they were delivered and whether any additional changes are needed.
