How to setup your email in Gmail

Desktop Setup

Please follow these steps to add your VCG hosted email account to your Gmail account:

1. Log into your Gmail account.
2. Select the Gear icon at the top right.
3. Click See all settings from the drop-down options.
4. Select the Accounts and Import tab.
5. Under Check mail from other accounts: select Add a mail account.
6. Add your email address and click Next.
7. Select Import emails from my other accounts (POP3) (Gmail does not offer IMAP configuration).
8. Add your Username (full email address) and Password.
9. Set the POP server to secure.myvcgmail.com and set to Port 995.
   NOTE: If you have the email account setup on multiple devices we suggest selecting "Leave a copy of retrieved message on the server." The other selections are optional.
10. Check the Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail option.
11. Select Add Account.
12. Now you'll be prompted to setup the Outgoing server.
13. Select Yes, I want to be able to send mail as "name@domainname.com" and click Next.
14. Enter your Name as you would like it to appear for your recipients.
15. Uncheck the Treat as an alias option.
16. Click Next Step.
17. Set the SMTP server to secure.myvcgmail.com and set to Port 465.
18. Confirm your Username (full email address) and Password.
19. Select Secured connection using SSL and click Add Account.

You should now receive a confirmation email in your VCG hosted email account. Within the email, you will find the confirmation code you will need to verify the account and complete the email setup.

Note: If this is your main email account select the Gear icon in the top right, select See all settings, click the Accounts and Imports tab and under Send email as: click the make default link next to your newly added email account.

GMail App (Mobile)

Please follow these steps to add your VCG hosted email account to your Gmail account:

1. Open the Gmail app and select Settings
2. Click Add Account and select Other
3. Enter in the email address of the account you wish to create.
4. Select the account type - we suggest (IMAP)

Enter in your information referencing the details below:

Incoming:

username: [full email address]

IMAP Server: secure.myvcgmail.com

Password: ****************

Port: IMAP (993) | POP (995)

Security: SSL/TLS

Outgoing:

username: [full email address]

SMTP Server: secure.myvcgmail.com

Password: ****************

Port: 465

Security: SSL/TLS

At this point, your account should be added and you can select your Account options.
