Please note that domain name management is a grandfathered VCG service and is no longer offered. This article only applies if your domain name was purchased and registered by VCG on your behalf and is part of the domain name management service.
If your VCG Website Service includes domain name management, we will, as a service to you, maintain and automatically renew your domain each year as long as you are an active VCG client. To maintain your subscription, a valid credit card must be kept on file at all times. If, upon the renewal of your subscription, we are unable to process your payment, and your domain name was registered by VCG on your behalf, you may forfeit any rights to your domain name and your website (it will not be renewed with GoDaddy and will naturally expire and become available to anyone else to buy).
If you should ever leave us for any reason and your service included domain name management, you can take ownership of your domain name at any time within 7 days of your cancellation date. If you do not notify us within 7 days, your domain name may be forfeited (it will not be renewed with GoDaddy and will naturally expire, becoming available to anyone else to buy).
If you were managing domain names, we would cancel your GoDaddy domain renewal. IMPORTANT: GoDaddy's domain expiration timeline varies from VCG's. What happens after the domain name expires? If the domain has expired for over 18 days, you will incur an additional $80 redemption fee to renew. After 25 days, the domain goes to auction and may no longer be available for renewal.
If you would like us to transfer your domain name from VCG's Website Services to your own GoDaddy account, please download and fill out the Domain Name Transfer Request Form attached to this article.
Please note that you will need a GoDaddy account to complete the domain name transfer form and initiate the transfer.
