September 14th, 4:30PM CST - AT&T has flagged our mail servers from delivering mail to AT&T email accounts. All email that is sent to AT&T email addresses by our mail servers is, by definition, transactional email. That is, it is email communication relating to business transactions between buyers and sellers.
Users with att.net, bellsouth.net, sbcglobal.net, or any other AT&T subsidiaries email accounts may also be affected.
While we've always been able to eventually have AT&T support remove such flags, AT&T support is not only slow to respond, but they are not able to provide us with any assurances that mail will be delivered in the future. Dealing with AT&T support is time consuming and frustrating experience, and detracts from our ability to provide best-in-class support to our users.
We take email deliverability very seriously, and need to ensure that we're doing everything we can to provide seamless communication between buyers and sellers.
While we will continue to support AT&T email addresses, it is with the unfortunate disclaimer that in the event AT&T blocklists our mail server you will not be able to receive email in a timely manner, if at all. AT&T may impose significant delivery delays or the refusal for delivery, and there's really nothing we can do to resolve this matter in a timely fashion. We will do our best to communicate this to you when / if it happens, but the fact that communication is delayed makes the exercise problematic. We will, however, publish all such announcements here in our Support Center: https://vcgcorporate.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/sections/115001234263
We strongly encourage you to consider utilizing another email address for your VCG services. Ideally it will be a professional business domain email address that represents your company. Alternatively, you may consider creating a Gmail address.
If you have any questions regarding issues relating to email delivery to your AT&T email address please contact AT&T, as there's nothing we can do to help in that regard.
Thanks.
