When creating a new job, we will attempt to auto-increment numeric portions of the job number of your most recently created job and suggest that as the new job's value of Job No. You can always overwrite the suggested / auto-incremented value of Job No. to be whatever you like, provided that you don't duplicate an existing value.
If you're creating your very first job, or if none of your existing jobs have quote numbers, we will leave the Job No. field blank, allowing you to provide your desired "starting" alphanumeric value.
If the job number value for your most recently created job with a quote number has NO numeric element to it, then we will leave Job No. for your new job blank, allowing you to provide your desired "starting" alphanumeric value.
If the job number value for your most recently created job with a job number DOES have a numeric element to it, we will auto-increment the "right-most" contiguous numeric portion of it and append / prepend that new value to any existing preceding and / or following alphanumeric characters and set the value of Job No. for your new job as this auto-incremented alphanumeric value.
You can always edit (duplicates not allowed) or delete an autoincremented value of Job No.
