When uploading images to the image library, it's important to ensure your image's color mode is set to RGB and NOT CMYK. Setting your image's color mode to CMYK will cause your image library to produce an error similar to the following.
"ColdFusion was unable to create and image from the specified source file."
If you experience an error with your image library similar to the one listed above, please ensure all of your uploaded images have the color mode set to RGB.
If you have added a CMYK file, please contact our Support department for assistance in removing the CMYK file.
You can submit a support request by following these steps:
- Submit a support request via VCG Portal (recommended). Once logged in, click on the Support tab to submit a ticket.
- You can also Email Us.
- Call (800) 558-3054 between the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm CST, Monday - Friday.

A client brought another error message to my attention today: "Invalid File Format"
Although the image they uploaded was a .JPG, it was still causing the error. To fix it I downloaded and deleted the file from their Image Library, opened it in Photoshop, and then "Saved for Web" (.JPG). I was then able to upload it to their image library without issue.
