How to insert a custom image into the body content of your page

Custom images may be used in other parts of your Website, including any default page, or custom pages you may want to create.

To upload a custom image to your Website that is not in one of the pre-defined image areas (Graphic Header or Page Image), you must first load your image to your Image Library.

1. Click on the Website tab at the top.
2. Click on the Image Library link.
   
3. Retrieve the image path URL from your Image Library. Directly above the Image Library window you will notice a URL in bold. This is the path to enter when placing an image on your page. You will need to add the image filename to the end of the URL string. In the example below, we will be uploading an image named "Equipment.jpg", and the example path URL (in bold) is http://www.myvcgstore.com/images/996842F6/[image_name], therefore
• myvcgstore.com is your Website domain
• 996842F6 is a system generated folder for your custom image library
• [image_name] will be the filename of your image, in this example, Equipment.jpg
4. Navigate to the page you wish to place the image on.
5. Place your cursor in the area you want to add the image.
6. Click the image icon from the menu bar at the top of the editor.
7. In the field marked URL, type in the path that was displayed on the Image Library page ending in the image name (in this example, http://www.myvcgstore.com/images/996842F6/Equipment.jpg). Other parameters such as width, height, border, alignment, link, etc can be set in the available fields. Note that it is always best to try and establish the width and height prior to importing the image. If you set specific height/width dimensions within the portal, these images will display the same size no matter the device. Possibly making your images look too large on mobile devices.
8. Click OK.
