If you provided VCG with the necessary assets (images and content), your Home page may already be completed to your satisfaction. If it's not, or you want to further customize this page, follow these steps:
- Click on the Website tab at the top.
- Hover over Site Content and select Home from the navigational drop down menu.
There are 4 main editable areas to your Home page. They are:
Meta Tags
- Page Title - The page title is what displays at the top of the browser window when a user is visiting your site. It's pre-populated with the name of the page, ex. Home. It's also followed by "- Company Name". It can be altered by entering your title in the text field.
- Meta Keywords - Meta keywords are used by some search engines to index your site. Adding relevant keywords to your pages could help your site get found easier by search engines. You should only use words that are relevant to your sites content. Adding keywords that don't necessarily match your sites content could harm your search engine ranking. Add the keywords to the Meta Keywords input field, separated by commas.
- Meta Description - This is a brief description of your company. The contents of this field should be relevant to the content on your site. Enter your Meta Description into the input field.
- Click Save Changes.
Page Header (H1)
Page Headers are the large bold headline text at the top of your content. Think of it as a "headline" in a newspaper. It should briefly describe the content below it.There is no character limit set to these Page Headers, but you should consider keeping them limited to no more than 2 lines tall
- Place your cursor in the Content Editor, and type your headline message.
- To set your Page Header to not show, check the box next to Do not display.
- Click Save Changes.
Body Content
The body content is the "meat" of the information you are giving to your customer. For a more custom page, users with knowledge of HTML can use the HTML editor to customize the content of their page. Several preset templates have been created for those without HTML knowledge so the benefits of a professional customized homepage can still be enjoyed.
To view some preset templates, click the Templates button and select from one of the available homepage layouts.
To open the HTML editor, simply click on the Source button and your content will change to HTML.
- Place your cursor in the Content Editor and type your message.
- Users with HTML knowledge can edit the HTML source for their content by clicking on the Source button in the Menu Bar.
- Click Save Changes.

The page images are positioned either to the right or left of your Body Content, depending on your Website design. They also vary in width, depending on your Website design. There is no restriction on height. You may have up to 2 page images per page.
- Click the Click to browse field to upload and image from your local computer.

Alt tags can be used to provide additional information, are used by visual readers, they display when a user hovers over the image with their mouse and they display if a users is browsing without images turned on.
- To remove an image, click the Remove Page Image check box. If you're removing a custom image, it will be replaced with the default image if one is available.
